日前,她透露了凍齡秘訣,就是28年來都沒有吃糖!赫茲曾經很愛吃糖,但為了維持皮膚健康和身材,她在28年前就已經戒掉糖,改以木糖醇 (Xylitol) 代替。根據研究,肥胖問題在澳洲就如流行病般嚴重,其中過量的糖份攝取是重要的主因。

不吃糖的話,那要吃什麼呢?赫茲透露,她每一餐都會吃含有蛋白質的食物,特別是早餐。早餐時,她會吃一顆奇異果或一根香蕉,也會吃番茄、波菜、蛋和鮭魚,再加上英式早餐茶。午餐時,她會吃酪梨、雞肉、起司和沙拉。而晚餐的話,則會吃雞肉或魚肉、加上綠色蔬菜跟番薯。每天睡覺前,她會吃兩片黑巧克力。她也表示,如果想避免吃太多的話,可以放慢進食速度。

她認為睡眠非常重要,每天都會睡至少8個小時。赫茲強調,自己是樂觀主義者,總是心懷感激,也會常常靜坐,而這也是凍齡秘訣之一。此外,她也很喜歡做運動,每個禮拜也會做瑜伽3次。最後,她表示不少女性會覺得40歲過後身材就沒救了,但其實只是比較困難而已,如果有心去做的話,一定可以辦得到。
